This watercolor portrait of a historic home is available as an 11" x 14" or 18" x 24" print, with the original painting available when listed. A stately home from another time stands quietly along the street, its detailed porch and tall windows hinting at the life it once held. A vintage car rests out front, reinforcing the sense of stepping back into a moment that no longer exists. This watercolor recalls a house built in 1892, once owned by Verona Kearns and her husband, who ran a small café and beer garden beside it. The family remained there until the 1950s, when the property was sold, and though the house is now gone—replaced by parking for residents of Plum Stone Court—the painting brings it back with a sense of presence, memory, and the feeling of home.
