St. Theodosius Russian Orthodox Church

This original watercolor features St. Theodosius Russian Orthodox Church, a masterpiece of design in Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood. Partially funded by a donation from the Czar of Russia, the church is a remarkable architectural landmark. The twelve smaller domes represent the apostles, while the large center dome symbolizes Jesus. Painting this structure was as much about honoring its history as capturing its beauty—something that speaks to anyone drawn to place, symbolism, and quiet grandeur.
