Mexican Weaver

Felipe Hernandez is one of Oaxaca, Mexico's most well-known weavers. We met him in 1990 at his weaving studio in his home. He was a struggling young artist trying to make a living for his young wife and family. We appreciated his devotion to the traditional designs and vegetable dyes, and the rug we bought from him has been treasured for all these many years.
