Castlewood Canyon

This watercolor was painted from scenes just south of Denver, very near the small town of Castle Rock, where there is a beautiful, rocky canyon. I painted several of these beautiful scenes, struck by the natural formations and the quiet strength of the landscape. The colors and textures stayed with me long after the visit.
