View from Our Apartment in Rome

This original watercolor was painted from a memory of one of our visits to Rome, Italy, when we rented an apartment with this view of a cathedral dome through our bedroom window. The soft light and layered rooftops made the scene feel both grand and personal—an everyday moment framed by something timeless. There’s a quiet stillness in it that reminds me how travel often lingers in the small things we see from where we stay.
