An original watercolor of irises from our garden, painted in a more abstract style to bring out the shape, color, and energy of each bloom. There is a wonderful variety of iris in our garden, and each blossom is a marvelous subject to paint. Here is an abstract version of the iris, with rich purple petals, hints of yellow, and expressive lines that give the flowers a lively, almost stained-glass feel, while still holding onto the natural beauty of a garden subject.
