Small Abandoned Adobe Near Portal, AZ

This watercolor shows a small abandoned adobe near Portal, Arizona. The gorgeous white Sycamores and the rugged Chiricahua Mountains in Cave Creek Canyon made a perfect background for this old building. I was drawn to the way the light played off the textures—both in the trees and the weathered adobe—capturing a quiet balance between landscape and structure.
